6 tips on how to make a successful video presentation

1. Introduce yourself

The video should first of all show what business you are in, which is also a good opportunity to show the interior of the business. Try to focus on what you do differently compared to your competitors.

What are some good suggestions?

  • Massage salon: film the massage from the masseur's point of view.
  • Hotel: showcase the attractions in the facilities and activities you offer. Show the guests' view from the room.
  • Don't be afraid to go behind the scenes with a camera. Do you have a restaurant? For example, show how you prepare the chef's special. A very simple video of how to make a cake, created by our collaborating pastry shop, has been viewed by more than 90,000 people.

Try to capture your everyday activities in an interesting way that engages the viewer. But beware of over-experimentation, which can confuse the viewer.

2. Entice the audience

The film should not be too long, the running time should ideally not exceed 90 seconds. Play with the dynamics so that people have a reason to watch the whole video. Remember that the presentation should entice potential customers so that they get the urge to try and experience your service or product.

3. Don't be afraid to do your own work

You don't have to buy expensive equipment. Most of you own a smartphone that can take a good enough quality picture. You can edit using a program that you get as part of your computer's operating system.

4. Share

Post the recorded video on your company YouTube or Facebook. You can then easily share the video from these portals to your website.

5. Use the video in your promotions on Slevomat

Add the video to the text of your event on Slevomat or send it to your partner manager. In the case of cooperation where you have also subscribed to Facebook advertising, you can also share the source file with your partner manager. We will post the video on our Facebook page as part of your presentation.

6. Now is the best time

The consumption of video content has been increasing year on year and Facebook has now started to prioritise videos in listing posts, which has a positive impact on our campaigns on the social network. An audiovisual presentation of a product or service reaches potential customers in a more colourful and dynamic way than static text and photos.

We have seen this repeatedly confirmed in the number of views of our posts. One example for all:

Even a short self-made video from the example above can clearly outperform a professionally shot presentation. So make the most of the current trend.
